Angus McLaren (historian) explained

Angus McLaren (December 20, 1942 – June 2024) was a Canadian historian who was a professor of history at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, specializing in the history of sexuality.[1]

McLaren was born in East Vancouver and earned a bachelor of arts from the University of British Columbia in 1965. He later earned two degrees from Harvard University, a master of arts in 1966 and a PhD in 1971.[2] [3]

In 1999, McLaren was named a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.

After suffering from Parkinson's disease, McLaren died in June 2024, at the age of 81.
