Robert Brian Havelock (born 9 May 1942 in Yarm, Yorkshire[1]) is a former motorcycle speedway rider and is the former promoter of the Redcar Bears.[2] [3]
He won the National League Pairs, partnering Tom Owen for the Newcastle Diamonds[4] during the 1975 New National League season.[5]
His son Gary Havelock was the 1992 World Champion.
Since retiring, worked as a Heating Engineer. Married to Marjorie, they have two children, Lisa and Gary. Enjoys competition fishing.
