Buell is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in northern Montgomery County, Missouri, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 25.[2] It is located 7miles northeast of Montgomery City on Route 161.

History

Buell was platted in 1903, and named after Buell Hensley, a local businessman.[3] A post office called Buell was established in 1904, and remained in operation until 1978.[4]

Geography

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Buell CDP has a total area of 0.09sqmi, of which 0.001sqmi, or 1.12%, are water.[1] The community is on a slope which drains north toward Elkhorn Creek, part of the Cuivre River watershed which flows east to the Mississippi River.
