Cwelice (German: Zewitz)[1] is a village in Lębork County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Cewice.[2] It lies approximately 13km (08miles) south of Lębork and 590NaN0 west of the regional capital Gdańsk. It is located within the ethnocultural region of Kashubia in the historic region of Pomerania.
During the German occupation of Poland (World War II), in 1939, the Germans murdered Polish priest, activist and founder of the Polska Żyje Polish resistance organisation,, in the village.[3]
