Costa Rica–Libya relations are the bilateral relations between Republic of Costa Rica and Libya. The two countries are members of the Group of 77 and the United Nations.
Both countries established diplomatic relations on 30 November 1974.[1]
Costa Rica recognizes and maintains diplomatic relations with the Libyan National Transitional Council, but very narrow and without special cooperation.
Libya has not exported a single dollar to Costa Rica since 2013 when it exported iron plates worth a thousand US dollars . Which shows the Libyan economic difficulty.[2] Costa Rica exported to Libya in 2015 806 thousand US dollars of bananas and other tropical fruits.[3]
