The Geely Galaxy L7 is a plug-in hybrid compact crossover SUV manufactured by the Chinese car manufacturer Geely Auto under the Geely Galaxy marque.
Originally codenamed FX12, the Galaxy L7 is the first product of the Galaxy PHEV and EV series. The Geely Galaxy L7 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip and Geely's Galaxy N-OS operation system.[1]
The powertrain of the Galaxy L7 is named NordThor Hybrid 8848, which combines a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine mated to a 3-speed hybrid transmission, and an option of one or two electric motors. The front-wheel-drive version is powered by a petrol engine and an electric motor, with the 4WD using the two electric motors. The single motor front-wheel-drive variant of the Galaxy L7 develops 390 horsepower, while the dual motor 4WD variant produces 660 horsepower with a top speed of 200 km/h, and the a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 6.9. According to Geely, the thermal efficiency is the best among mass-produced hybrid engines at 44.26%.[2]
The Galaxy L7 carries a 18,7 kWh battery which claims a WLTC range of 700 km.
