Josh Andrés Rivera is an American actor. He is best known for starring as Chino in Steven Spielberg's 2021 remake of West Side Story and as Sejanus Plinth in .
Rivera is of Puerto Rican descent.[1] Rivera attended Fairview High School, in Boulder, CO where he was involved with the school's elite musical theater and choir departments.
Rivera first came to prominence for his supporting role as Chino in the Steven Spielberg remake of West Side Story (2021) acting opposite Rachel Zegler. He performed in the original company for the first national tour of Hamilton.[2] In 2023 he has acted in films such as the independent drama film Cat Person and the dystopian action film . He is set to portray Aaron Hernandez in the limited series American Sports Story (2024).
Since 2021, Rivera has been romantically involved with Rachel Zegler.[3] [4]
