Niwica is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Trzebiel, within Żary County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland, close to the German border.[1]
It lies approximately 7km (04miles) south of Trzebiel, 210NaN0 west of Żary, and 610NaN0 south-west of Zielona Góra.
In the past it was also known in Polish as Cybela.[2]
German scientist Walther Nernst died in the village in 1941.
