The Norfolk Island Liberal Party (Norfuk Ailen Librel Paati), more commonly referred to simply as the Norfolk Liberals (Norfuk Librels), is the Norfolk Island wing of the Liberal Party of Australia. It currently operates as the "Norfolk Island Interest Branch" of the Canberra Liberals.[2]
The Liberals won a single seat on the Norfolk Island Regional Council at the 2016 election. The party previously had representation on the Norfolk Island Legislative Assembly, which was dissolved in 2015.[3]
At the 2015 status referendum, the party supported the "no" vote, which was ultimately unsuccessful.[4]
Liberal councillor Dave Porter had intended to contest the 2020 election prior to its cancellation.[5]
