Panama has appeared in 18 Games of the Olympiads, making its debut appearance at the 1928 Summer Olympics. They have never appeared in the Olympic Winter Games. The country has won four medals (one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals). Long jumper Irving Saladino won Panama's first and only Olympic gold medal at the 2008 Summer Games.[1]
