Summit Behavioral Healthcare (Summit BHC) is a Brentwood, Tennessee–based behavioral health services company that owns and operates addiction treatment centers and Acute Psychiatric Hospitals throughout the United States.[1]

Background

Originating in 2012, the company was founded by Trey Carter, former CEO of Acadia Healthcare. In March 2015, Chicago, Illinois–based investment firm Flexpoint Ford provided Round 1 funding to launch Summit BHC's growth plan.[2]

Headquartered in Franklin, TN, Summit BHC was established to develop and operate a network of leading behavioral and mental health centers throughout the country. Summit BHC’s primary focus is on the provision of psychiatric services and substance use disorder treatment within a flexible and dynamic continuum of care.
