Sterope Explained

Sterope (; Ancient Greek: Στερόπη, in Greek, Modern (1453-); pronounced as /sterópɛː/, from Greek, Ancient (to 1453);: στεροπή, steropē, lightning)[1] was the name of several individuals in Greek mythology:

Sterope is also the name of one of the stars in the Pleiades star cluster.
